I have tried a variety of weight loss plans which can be summarized as follows:

Body For Life

A program that emphasized six-300 calorie meals a day along with interval style exercise. Offered their own line of meal replacement drinks and bars. It allowed one free meal day a week.

Dr. Young's Innerlight SuperGreens Program

A program that emphasized achieving alkaline blood pH through the use of green drink made from high quality greens and alfalfa sprouts. Offered their line of Supergreens and machines to make alkaline water

Dr. Hyman's Ultrametabolism Program

A program that also emphasized achieving alkaline blood pH through a diet of alkaline foods that you could prepare yourself. Minimal promotion of any products for profit.

The Problem

The main reason which prevents people from losing weight is ENDLESS procrastination.

Most people tell themselves that they'll begin dieting "next week" or "after some future holiday" (or some other excuse) -- and that let's them procrastinate even further.

However, for those who can make a commitment to truly lose weight, there is hope...

Current Market Trend - Fat Loss 4 Idiots

This program educates the customer that low fat, low carb, and low calorie diets don't work.

The reason you cannot lose weight by starving yourself (using a low calorie diet) is because your metabolism will detect any major drop in calories and it will then ADJUST ITSELF by burning fewer calories each day.

For example:

If you begin eating 2,500 calories per day then your metabolism will adjust itself so that your body begins burning 2,500 calories per day.
